Procedures for Breeders Producing Castings for
Barefoot Soil Earthworm Castings

These procedures must be followed in order to have Castings included in our Castings program:

1. Breeders must register their castings through the WSDA Program. These are the procedures:
(a) Download application from WSDA’s Web Site www.agr.wa.gov/FoodAnimal/Organic/default.htm or Call Christa (360) 902-1805 to mail Brand Name Material Application Packet
(b) Fill out application and Send to:

2. Worms must be fed only Dairy manure that is free from hormones, antibiotics, and any added chemicals.

3. There must be no added bedding. Therefore, the worms must be grown in windrows.

4. The feed must be free from clopyralid and picloram, herbicide residues. Must send in test sample of castings to WSDA.
